No snooze
Well — it has one. It just doesn't believe in itself. Try it. Every morning you snooze, the first thing you do that day is quit. Sonrise asks for one small act of faithfulness instead — and then it lets the day go.

A morning with Sonrise

A real alarm, through silent mode and Focus. It keeps ringing until your mission is done.

Finish the mission and there's no button to find. Just "Good morning," by name.

Today's reading from your plan, waiting after the verse. Read it now, or later today.
Ten ways to rise
Your alarm asks for one of these each morning. Every one is checked on your iPhone — your voice, your camera, your steps — and none of it ever leaves the device.
Say today's verse out loud. It lights word by word as you're heard.
THE SIGNATUREOpen your Bible to today's passage and photograph it. Out of bed, Book in hand.
Type today's verse. Forgiving of typos, not of sleep.
Pray the Lord's Prayer aloud, a line at a time — in the words you know.
Stand and lift both hands for ten seconds, on camera. Psalm 134:2.
Twenty-five steps. Feet on the floor before anything else.
Get to a window and photograph the sky. The heavens declare His glory.
Name three things you're thankful for. Two words is enough.
Fifteen seconds of push-ups, watched by the camera — on your iPhone.
Fill in the missing words. Memorization, disguised as waking up.
Stuck? After a while, "Another way to rise" quietly offers any other mission. Firm mechanics, gentle language.
READ TODAY'S VERSE ALOUD TO RISE
This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
In the app, this happens with your voice. The words catch light as you speak them — heard on your iPhone, and by no one but Heaven.
Reading plans
After the verse, today's reading — if you've chosen a plan. Eight to choose from, each with a few minutes a morning, and a missed reading simply waits for you.

The snooze math
700+ hours
given back to you, every year, by ending the snooze cycle.
Imagine giving even a fraction of that to God.
Built like it matters
A real iPhone alarm. It breaks through Focus and the mute switch, like an alarm should.
Six Bible translations, every plan and the alarm itself are built in. No signal needed at 6 a.m.
Your mornings, journal and prayers live on your iPhone and your own iCloud. We never see them.
Speech and camera missions are checked entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is recorded or sent.
Questions
Because the snooze button stands between you and the morning you actually want. Nine minutes of snooze is zero minutes of real rest — just a fragmented start. Sonrise replaces it with one small act of faithfulness: read a verse, pray, take a few steps. The alarm goes quiet while you work on it, and the moment you finish, the day is yours.
Sonrise is $29.99 a year — about $2.50 a month — and it starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. There's also a monthly plan at $7.99 with no trial. You won't be charged during the trial, and we remind you the day before it ends. Prices appear in your local currency in the App Store.
A day before your trial ends, we send you a reminder, so nothing sneaks up on you. If you do nothing, your yearly subscription begins. Cancel any time before then — in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions — and you're never charged. A paid subscription cancels the same way, and you keep access until the period you paid for runs out.
After a little while, "Another way to rise" appears quietly at the bottom of the screen and lets you switch to any other mission for that morning. Typing the verse needs no permissions at all, so there's always a way through.
Yes, completely. The Bible text, the reading plans, the verse of the day and the alarm itself are all built into the app. Nothing about your morning depends on a signal — which matters, because your alarm has to work whether or not there's Wi-Fi at 6 a.m.
No. Sonrise has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no trackers. Your mornings, journal and prayers live on your own iPhone, and sync privately through your personal iCloud if you're signed in. The only thing that leaves your device is the App Store purchase receipt, so your subscription can be confirmed. Your voice and your camera are checked entirely on-device and never recorded or sent.
Six public-domain translations ship inside the app: the Berean Standard Bible (a clear, modern default), the Majority Standard Bible, the Free Bible Version, the World English Bible, the Bible in Basic English and the King James Version. Switch any time in Settings.
Wake up with Jesus.
